Research as Part of the Practice
From Every Point of View — Selected as the Exhibition Image
In July 2023, my work was presented in From Every Point of View, an international group exhibition at Himmet Öcal Orkun Ozan Art Gallery in Antalya, Turkey.

For this exhibition, one of my works was selected for the exhibition’s main visual and catalogue cover.

There is something particularly meaningful about this kind of selection.

An exhibition brings together many individual artistic voices, yet one image is often chosen to introduce the project before the viewer encounters any of them.

It becomes the first point of contact.

The exhibition itself was centred on the idea of perspective — the simple fact that the same world can be experienced, interpreted and expressed in entirely different ways.

This is perhaps one of the reasons art remains so compelling to me.

An artist can create from a deeply individual point of view, but the work never remains entirely within it. The moment someone else encounters it, another perspective enters.

Having my work chosen to visually introduce an exhibition built around this idea made the experience especially memorable.

Before the exhibition opened its doors, my work became the image through which it opened to the world.
