Published in Blue Planet — An Exploration Through the Arts
In July 2024, my work was published in Blue Planet: An Exploration Through the Arts, an international art book bringing together artists responding to the ocean and our relationship with the natural world.
The project approached the ocean not only as a subject of beauty, but as something immense, vulnerable and deeply connected to human life.
What interested me most was the possibility of speaking about this relationship without illustrating it literally.
Art can make visible something that is difficult to measure: our emotional connection to a place, a landscape or an environment that may exist far beyond our immediate experience.
We can feel wonder and responsibility at the same time.
For me, this is where art becomes particularly powerful. It does not have to explain why something matters.
Sometimes it can simply make us feel that it does.
