ANASTACIA KEVICH
Exploring identity, social conditioning and the boundaries between the self and what is imposed upon it.
My practice begins with a question that is simple only at first:
Who am I?
Who am I?
WHO ARE WE BENEATH EVERYTHING
WE HAVE
LEARNED TO BE?
WE HAVE
LEARNED TO BE?
Not who I have learned to be.
Not who I was expected to become.
Not the version of myself shaped by family, culture, responsibility, success, love, fear, or the need to belong.
But who remains beneath all of this.
Not who I was expected to become.
Not the version of myself shaped by family, culture, responsibility, success, love, fear, or the need to belong.
But who remains beneath all of this.
We enter life before we have a language for ourselves. Long before we are able to choose, we begin absorbing definitions of what is right, desirable, respectable, beautiful, successful, possible.
REMAINS
What remains when the imposed is stripped away?

About Anastacia Kevich
Artist Statement
“The energy of each person in our world is as unique as their fingerprint. Every emotion has its own vibration, like a note on a musical scale. When we encounter each other, we may not see it, but we can feel it.”

Delve into the artist's creative universe
I aspire to create art that is both free, new, and metaphysical. Through abstract elements and the balance of light, I seek to create a new semantic space that is not limited to specific images or stories.
Using an unusual artistic technique, such as air flow instead of a brush, I created a unique visual language.
The key theme of my artistic research is the energy field of the soul and the spirit of nature. I seek to create art that prompts the viewer to reflection and spiritual quest.
I am convinced that art must be free from restrictions and open to explore new ideas and concepts, so as to surprise and inspire the viewer, revealing deeper meanings of life.
Through my art, I seek to make the world more harmonious and meaningful. I am also convinced that my art can change the world for the better, help us understand ourselves and others, and our place in the universe.
